Sustainability

Nitrogen Dosing
At Crimson Badger Brewing, our nitrogen doser opens the door to canning almost any beverage, from refreshing water and premium wine to smooth cold brew coffee and rich, delicious stouts. The precise nitrogen dosing ensures optimal can integrity and product quality, allowing us to maintain freshness and deliver a perfect pour every time.
Contract Blending and Conditioning
In addition to packaging, we also offer a limited service for blending and conditioning. Whether you have a finished product or just an idea, we have mobile tanks and the necessary chilling and carbonation equipment to store and can your product. Reach out to discuss the available options.

Technology Overview
The Depalletizer
The first step is loading your chosen cans into our depalletizer, which automatically feeds them into the canning line.
Date Coding
Before entering the canning line, cans are date-coded based on your specifications. With two available lines for printing, we can include details like production date, batch number, and best before date.
The Canning Line
Affectionately known as ABE (Abby)
ABE joins us from North America, where she was built in Lincoln, Nebraska by ABE Beverage Equipment. Fitted with multiple fill heads and an electronic servo-seamer to boot, he’s capable of filling up to 90 cans/minute.
The major benefit of operating with an electronic servo-seamer is the ability to make incredibly precise adjustments to the seaming tools digitally with the touch of a button.
In conventional pneumatic seaming systems this process must be done manually and runs a significantly greater risk of inconsistency or error.
Furthermore, it affords the ability for real-time torque monitoring of the seaming process — where Abe’s onboard computer will analyse each can’s seam as it is produced and automatically reject any which are not up to standard. A can is only as good as it’s seam, and we take seaming very seriously.
Labelling
Our double-headed labeller works in sync with ABE, applying labels as fast as cans are filled. We can handle a range of label sizes, but please note that we request label reels be wound in style Four or Eight. Need assistance with label requirements? Just ask, we’re happy to help.
Quality Assurance
Seam Integrity
The difference between a good and bad seam can be measured in millimeters. We inspect seams throughout every run to ensure quality is maintained.
Contaminants
To avoid spoilage, we inspect cans for debris and manufacturing defects before filling. Our thorough CO2 purging cycle also ensures oxygen pickup is minimal, with levels below 10 parts per billion (ppb).
Fill Volumes
We measure fill volumes by weight, ensuring consistency for both producer and consumer. Underfilled cans can lead to spoilage and unhappy customers, so we carefully weigh each can to meet strict criteria.
Expert Operation
Running a canning line isn’t easy, but our team of experienced operators ensures that each run is smooth and efficient, delivering the best results for your product.
